I’ve had the privilege of capturing Christina’s journey through my lens for the past three years. Watching her practice evolve from a solo endeavor in a single room to a stunning four-room med spa in North Scottsdale has been nothing short of inspiring. Witnessing Christina chase her dreams with a love for aesthetic dermatology with personalized care and seeing them materialize into this incredible success story has been truly amazing! There’s something special about seeing a small business flourish, and I feel honored to have had a front-row seat to her growth. Recently, Christina graciously took the time to sit down with me and share insights into her path to success.

Q: Christina, your story is truly inspiring. Can you tell us a little bit about how you got started in the world of aesthetic dermatology?

A: Well, it all began at UCSF Medical Center, where I spent seven amazing years working alongside some of the world’s most talented surgeons. That experience was truly formative. It not only honed my attention to detail but also instilled a deep appreciation for the artistry that goes into plastic surgery. I’ve always been fascinated by the transformative power of aesthetic treatments, how they can boost confidence and truly make someone feel like the best version of themselves.

Q: You launched Derma Precision during a pretty challenging time – the pandemic. That must have been quite an adventure! Can you walk us through that experience?

A: Looking back, it was definitely a leap of faith! The pandemic threw us all for a loop, but it also created an opportunity for me to build a strong foundation for the business. I started out small, seeing clients in my own casita with an N-95 mask and a shield. It was here where I focused on building those genuine connections and establishing the Derma Precision brand.

Q: And now, fast forward to today, you have a beautiful new med spa! What has that transition been like?

A: It’s been an incredible journey, with all the ups and downs that come with growth. Going from a one-room suite to a four-treatment room med spa has been a whirlwind! But now, with an amazing team of six, we offer a comprehensive range of services – from injectables and facials to laser treatments and even an IV lounge. It’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of  the team that I have built.  I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together.

Q: We’re curious – any advice for aspiring entrepreneurs in the aesthetic field?

A: Absolutely! Never, ever give up on your dreams, even when the going gets tough. Be flexible and ready to adapt. Always prioritize giving your clients the best possible care. Surround yourself with a supportive team and never stop learning. There’s always something new to discover in this field!
