These days, it feels like everyone is trying to make a name for themselves. It has never been easier to pursue your passion, and as a result, it’s never been harder to stand out from the competition. From creative endeavors to personal training, a lot of the major markets have become pretty saturated. That’s why I’m here to teach you how to step out of the crowd! As a Scottsdale branding photographer, I love working with my clients to figure out how they can get people to pay attention to them. Here is your guide on how to stand out in a saturated market!

Don’t ever let your imposter syndrome get the best of you. There is something that stands out about you that makes you totally unique, and often, that is the thing that will draw people to your brand in a saturated market. Think about what you have to offer that no one else might. Maybe you have your own personal experience that you bring to the table, or maybe you have created a style that is a little different than anyone else’s. Let those quirks become your strengths!

Stop standing, sit down, and think about why you decided you wanted to start establishing your brand in this saturated market. Were you inspired after watching someone in your family pursue their dreams? Is this something you have wanted to do since you were a child? Don’t be afraid to tell that story and make people fall in love with you! Storytelling also includes the present. You want people to interact with your brand and let them experience the benefits for themselves. Things like branded events will give them the opportunity to do exactly that!

People are far more likely to trust your brand if they feel like they know you. Think about it. If you are buying a product, do you put more stock in a brand’s description or a friend’s recommendation? You want people to feel like they are getting an authentic experience, even if you are working hard to curate it. You can do this through behind-the-scenes videos, unstaged Instagram pictures, and personalized customer experiences. Also, work to meet others in the industry so they can refer their clients if they think you might be the right person for the job.

As you draw more people to your website, you want to make sure they aren’t getting the old version! Keep your branding photos and videos updated to stand out, especially in a saturated market. While those big branding sessions might be important, you can schedule smaller sessions in between so you have newer photos you can sprinkle into your social media. I personally offer a Branding Essentials session that will take around two hours and leave you with 30 images as well as b-roll videos. It will be the ideal way to make sure you always have current images!
If you have been looking for how to stand out in a saturated market, I really hope this helps you out. With these tips, you can make potential clients notice you!
